Can AI actually cite your website?
Enter a URL, get a result in about 10 seconds. Six dimensions scored, showing what AI crawlers actually read, what blocks them, and the order to fix it. No signup, no code to install.
What it checks
Six dimensions, all things AI crawlers genuinely look at. Scored out of 100, weighted by how much each factor moves citation rates in published research.
Crawlability (15)Whether robots.txt blocks GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot; and whether your body text only exists after JavaScript runs — many AI crawlers don't execute JS, so they see a blank page.
Body length (15)Frequently-cited pages average about 1,943 words; low-scoring ones around 170. Length isn't padding — models need enough material to cut a reusable passage from.
Structure (20)Heading count, paragraph count, list density. Clear structure is what makes a page sliceable.
Extractable blocks (25 — the largest single block)Definitions, numbers with units, like-for-like comparisons, step-by-step procedures, and scope limits. These five are relatively easy to quote as a block.
Authority signals (15)Author, dates, sources, structured data.
On-topic match (10)Whether your title and headings use the words a buyer would actually say.
The six most common P0 problems — and the fix
1. robots.txt blocks AI crawlersA blanket anti-scraping rule that also shuts out GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended. A small change, but it affects everything downstream.
2. Body text is JS-renderedMost AI crawlers see an empty shell. Fix: server-side render or pre-render, so the main text is in the initial HTML.
3. Product pages are spec tables with no proseA spec table means nothing out of context. Add 100 words per product: what it is, who it's for, how it differs.
4. Not a single number with a unit"High quality, fast delivery" is worthless when quoted. Replace with "MOQ 500 pcs, 25-day lead time, CE and ISO 22000." Low-effort change with a relatively clear effect.
5. No comparisonBuyers ask "which one" — if you only talk about yourself, you never enter that question. Add a like-for-like comparison table.
6. No author, date or sourcesModels prefer content that looks accountable. Byline, updated date, cited figures — near-zero cost.
⚠️ Scope of this tool: it checks your own site's technical and content structure. It does not tell you whether AI currently mentions you — that requires actually querying the models, which costs money and lives in the full version.
FAQ
Do I need to install code or verify the domain?
Neither. Just paste a URL — we fetch your public page once, the way an AI crawler would. No login, nothing changed on your site.
Will this load my server?
One audit fetches a handful of pages, comparable to a single visitor. The same URL within 6 hours returns a cached result.
Is a low score hopeless?
The opposite. Four of the six dimensions are fixed by editing content, not rebuilding the site. The result lists fixes in priority order; P0 items usually take an hour or two.
How is this different from an SEO tool?
SEO tools measure ranking factors — backlinks, keyword density, page speed. This measures whether a passage can be lifted and used as an answer: does it contain a definition, numbers with units, a comparison table. The two overlap less than people expect.
Do you store my URL?
Results are cached in memory for 6 hours to avoid re-fetching, then dropped. Nothing else.
